This some matte paintings was done quickly, very quickly in the very last days of postproduction for episode 411 Series 4 “The baby troll”. Story is based on the Icelandic fairy tails. That´s why Magnus was so picky to images of mountains. It suppose to have “authentic icelandic look”. But the real set objects which where already build in a studio has completely different style.
So that the challenge was to paint something in between blue objects and icelandic mountains
and make the connection of live and background images more or less common
